Shabeer, Razik has made some observations above, as has David. ๐ Lets ignore David for the moment as he is one of those creative types and lives somewhere that mere mortals like us are not invited too,
Anyway getting back to Razik’s comments which come from his observations of you as a driver & his heart, much much more relevant ๐ He is right you are a good driver, he mentioned the UAE, Shabeer my brother of the sand, I know of no one else over several continents that would even THINK about putting your brave little Vitara into such situations as you do, let alone actually do it and come out glittering as you do. Trust yourself Shabeer trust yourself. To us the observers, we can see you are a good driver :ymhug:
As to why this or that happens or doesn’t, Marshall’s have a role in this community to be the teacher, the safety officer, the HR guy and the police…not easy. They, as much as anyone, want to see all members grow and enjoy JUST FOR FUN…that’s why they do what they do…PLUS it makes their job just a bit easier!
Just keep shining my friend ๐

Shabeer,
DO has 3 level of Drives every week ranging from New Bie to Intermediate plus and there is Intermediate Drive on Friday from Gopa Kumar.
Then where is the question of missing the drive..
quote razik:Man…you and your “philosophical unexpected journesy”….are you into film making business or somethin ๐ ๐ ๐Sorry ๐ , if my words are having any problem with community, This is my way of showing happiness which i share after the drive with the tracks selected by Humayun, Every drive is a different experience and finding new places which i never saw before and all the new places are coming in front the eyes was just unexpected…. Please consider this as a part of community (everywhere) and to add more flavors to the discussions we do here….

quote shabeer saidu mohammed::(( :(( :(( (don’t know why we are ………..)Hey Shabeer, your statement of “……………..” has created a lot of speculations ๐ Please dont get distressed. Cheer up mate ๐ You are doing good and keep it up. No doubt, rest will follow and its just matter of time :-BD
Thanks Brian, David, Razik for your kind understanding :ymhug: ๐
Since there are lot of discussions, let me also state my viewpoint on this subject to all those who are having concerns on DO upgrades – just my 2 fils ๐
Trust is a very important factor in this very risky business we operate. Most of the members are driving with us exposing themselves to this risk, just on basis of the trust they have on us. I will urge to all that if you can trust us to help you operate safely, then certainly you can trust us for these trivial issues.
We being strong advocates of safety, do not prefer compromises, which can hamper our motto “Safe Fun”. Hence, we may sound harsh and rigid with some decisions but trust us, its for your safety. Also such compromises will hinder the drive quality which will be a injustice to other members. As Ahmed Bhai stated somewhere in the past “There is no fun in throwing a non-swimmer to the deep end of the pool”
We believe in team work and all decisions pertaining to the club, not limited to upgrades are taken in a very transparent and democratic manner. All members are constantly under the radar of Marshals and good performances are always recommended to the Task Force. I do agree that since it is a democratic process, few proposals may be get rejected and few may take little more time for final decision. But all relevant factors are taken into consideration in this said decision process.
As long as you get enough options here to be engaged at sands during weekends, please do not bother about other stuffs which can distract your concentration. Keep driving and keep up the good spirits. Nothing can stop what you deserve :-BD In the recent past, we were also at the same stage of a Learner and had gone through many analogous scenarios. I can take my case itself as a good example. I thoroughly enjoyed all possible drives and never whimpered for upgrades or positions. I was under the watchful eyes of DO Task Force and they were kind enough to honor good performance. May be I was little fortunate to have quick growth from 1 star to 5 stars in a year’s period. Once i was made part of the task force, I was more impressed to learn the democratic process behind those quick decisions. May be that’s something which makes me more attached to DOs ๐ More than the fun I am having here, I like the way we operate.
It may be not out of place to mention that a self declaration or claim about upgrade or positions looks a little contemptible and unprofessional. Therefore leave all those controversial subject to us, trust us and help us to support you better and stay focused to enjoy the drives. As Brian stated, it will certainly make our job, easier ๐
Drive safe and have good fun :-BD ๐ :drive:
