Dubai Offroaders – DisclaimerThanks to Denis for this mornings drive which turned out to be the roller coaster of drives.
:thanks:5 cars met just after 6.30am at badayer intersection in a comfortable 28C and prepared ourselves for the fun ahead.
Being early in the morning and following the rains from yesterday the sand was still nice and damp with not many visible tracks.
It was very different to our usual driving conditions but pretty much perfect! 😀
We made our way up big red with no difficulty at all and moved on to little red.
Being only 5 cars and of a similar level we kept moving at a fast pace throwing ourselves around… And only stopping for the occasional photo stop.
We then headed to pink rock and certainly noticed the difference in driving here – doesn’t seem that the rain from the previous day had made it this far across the desert. At one point the two and only stucks came at exactly the same time. After deflating a little more we had some more fun only to realize that we had had so much fun and it was only 8.15am!
Rather than heading to an exit at one of the nearby gates and drive on secondary roads (why would we want to do that) we decided to head back to badayer the way we came….
As we headed back we again noticed the difference in the wet sands and who could resist but to take advantage of more of those enticing dunes. :ymhug:The roller coaster continued after a short pause to let one of the drivers get some fresh air and resettle their stomach! 😮
We exited the way we came in and reinflated at badayer – We were the only cars there!
Am definitely looking forward to the next morning drive! 🙂Today’s drive badayer to badayer covered 41km in 2hrs 45 min.
Thank you all for a great time spent :yesss: :ymhug:
Weather was fantastic
Lots of adrenaline :-ss X_X
You guys rocked \M/
Great drive report Philip :thanks: and great second lead as well :ymhug:It was really unusual having those only 2 stucks, at the same time, on parallel dunes :ymdevil:
And it’s the second time for Mustafa to recover a White FJ stuck on the top of the ridge 😀 different owners though… Very nice approach and execution :ymapplause:
That 2-dr Cherokee XJ seemed rolled over the front side, as left wheel were pointing East, and right wheel pointing West 😮
Crossed Pink Rock twice, left to right and right to left, in different locations, first time for me :ymparty:
Sam, thanks for the sweep, not much work tho’, hope you enjoyed, looking forward to see the video 😀
Deva – :ymcowboy: great performance progress :ymhug: :ymapplause:
Cheers and hope to see you all soon on another challenging drive :-BDFirst of all thank you Denis for another amazing morning drive with great lead, which made our saturday morning full of adrenaline to have a perfect start to the week. :thanks: :ymapplause:
