Are there any Sports clubs in Sharjah for the whole fmly. Facilities I’m looking for are swimming pool, squash courts, may b riding etc.
I found one today and they offered me to join but then they disallowed as I am a Muslim. The club name is ‘Wanderers’ (surprising for me). ๐ก  ๐ฟSeptember 16, 2008 at 9:48 am #7381quote wrangler:Are there any Sports clubs in Sharjah for the whole fmly. Where is Wanderers located???Yes offcourse as I spoke to the manager myself (his name is Collins), he explained to me the facilities and fees and then he told me that I being a muslim cannot join. Although this club is for expats but not for muslims…..New chapter of information for me!! As for the explanation, he told me that they have special permission from the Sheikh of Sharjah. Please google it for the exact location…
hmm ive a feeling that is the one with bars and alcohol in it. A few of the girls working at our UK branch came last year and said they were in club in Sharjah that serves alcohol and is expats, they got invite as one their cousin was member.
Anyway you wont be missing much not joining it, load of excuse to get drunk in Sharjah believe it or not ><
September 16, 2008 at 6:31 pm #7387Catherine is right, the membership form itself requires one to submit the liquor license, which obviously Mr. Adeel cannot produce…I guess it may be better too…since the basic objective is not to get drunk :high:
We have better means of entertainment :drive: -
