The staff page has been updated in light of the recent promotions.
Congratulations to Amjed, Ganesh, Robinson and Ashok on being on the staff page now.
Since last week, there were regular announcements of various upgrades at DO :-BD 🙂
I am sure, at least some of us might have thought, whether it’s a “Promotion Week” for DO???? 😮 Also there were few sarcastic compliments from few dear “well wishers” in the forum and chat 😕
I thought of making this post to share with you all, the real facts behind the recent announcements, as far as i know. This may help to clear the ambiguity, intentionally being created or discussed by certain negative souls. Personally, I hate that kind of selfish attitude – hesitation to accept junior talents because of cheap superiority complex X( Its nearly impossible for those individuals to accept somebody else at par, which actually pushed me for this post.
Keeping aside the recent upgrades to DO Staff team, all other upgrades were long pending. During the recent couple of months, there were no upgrades, as the focus of few seniors and decision makers got diverted to different subjects, not in favour of DO as a social club and its valuable motto “Just for Fun”. Thereby, one of the very basic responsibility of member development and recognition was completely ignored. Its very evident from the fact – no upgrades for a very long time, despite of minimum two drives every weekend 🙁
During this period, various upgrade proposals were brought in the staff forum for review and approval. Sadly nothing got materialized due to certain conflicting personal interests. All those proposals which got blocked in the process pipeline, were gushing out with series of upgrade announcements. All recent upgrades were more or less accepted by the previous staff team for implementation. The process or delay doesn’t matter – all recent upgrades are truly deserving 🙂 :-BD
This is a good message and learning lesson to new members of the staff team, to reinstate the good old system of regular review and member upgrades, which was precisely followed in the past. We are aware that, by this time there are few more active members, due for upgrade and let’s focus to recognize those deserving talents. Need not to say, all such proposals and decisions are to be purely based on driving skills and should not be influenced by any other factor(s), considering the risky business we operate.
The recent unfortunate developments had certainly created huge gaps in the staff team, helping capable senior members to take over new positions. I do not believe that it is an exception, but it’s a very natural phenomenon. We have full confidence in the skills and capabilities of new staff members, who were unofficially on task, since a long time. All of them are very efficient and fully capable to shoulder the new responsibilities :-BD
Let’s keep all other interests aside and utilize the coming weekends of this season for driving together – “Just for Fun” :drive: :drive: :drive:

well said gk..as we are sporting a risky and dangerous sport, driving skill should be the primary requisite for upgrade of members.

Anyways its always a pleasure to be on the drives led by you and hope now will also a pleasure to be a part of our Founder (Ahmed Bhai) drive in his favourite place LIWA.
