I have a 2010 JK Jeep Wrangler and its slowly developed a pretty bad steering wobble problem. I’ve read this is a common problem with wranglers. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a good specialist jeep repairer to diagnose and fix the problem? Jeep charge a fortune so hoping to find an independent mechanic that does good work at a reasonable price!
If this has slowly developed over time, your first point of call is a wheel alignment as that is the most likely culprit. If you’ve been doing some off-roading recently on rocks / wadi terrain or you’ve been bogged down in the sand a bit and steering left and right to get out, this will likely affect wheel alignment over time. Future Tyres in Al Quoz are a good place to go and they know what they are doing – keep in mind they charge about AED 350 but you may be able to bargain a bit down to AED 300. Tell them about the steering wobble first so they know what to look for. Don’t go into the main office if you’re allergic to cigarette smoke – it’s a chimney in there!
