We all met at emarat petrol station on time and the first convoy moved with 12 cars to the deflation point,2nd convoy with 4 cars followed me to the deflation point and finally the naughty member as usual he came at the last minute…. After a short briefing with the help of Pervez and Ajay we started climbing some small dunes, some stuck were taken care by Marshal’s and the senior member. Everyone did well, the whole group were enjoying the dunes to the degree that they all agreed to continue driving till it gets dark.
At 4.30:00 pm it was already windy and cold and we decided to short cut the trip…
On the way back to Dubai it was heavily raining, hope every one reached home easily.
Thanks to ajay for leading the trip and the special thanks to all who came to the trip , hope you have enjoyed and hope to see you all again.I have noticed few members were playing around when the convoy is stopped and in between the convoy its dangerous to the person and to others. Which needs to be avoided during all the times and please read the trip rules & discipline. i donโt like to point out the members name here in public.. im requesting all of you guys to keep the convoy discipline all the time…..
Hey guys, just wanted to add on to what is being said, thanx to all people for the patience & co-operation they showed. The track was an awesome track
sorry to bring this matter up, but i think this it is extremely important if we need to have a good trip certain rules need to be followed. I believe there are some important things which are not being followed at all, if anybody disagrees please feel free to voice out
Discipline which is supposed to be the core base of any event was not followed at all, sorry to say this but it is a disappointment when it is done buy our regular members who is supposed to be role models for the new people. Guys & Girls desert driving is fun, relaxing, adrenalin pumping but if you donโt control it, things can go from bad to worse if the base principles are not followed.
Just want to add to what Jessil and Navin have already said about the discipline part, one of the biggest strengths of MEO is the commitment towards safety which gives all of us the sense of security when we are driving together. The briefing at the beginning of the trip by the trip leader outlines the position numbers in the convoy of each driver. This ensures that the individuals do not sway from the path and the convoy is not broken. However in this trip, we did see that this discipline was compromised on. Ajay and Ahmed did an excellent job of keeping the group together but this was something that I thought should be highlighted to keep the group the group’s safety objectives clear for future.
