BAD NEWS GUYS.
I couldnt push my trip by a day, so got the ticket issued.
Im flying on 2nd from Abu Dhabi, and will be back by 25th nov.

Unfortunately guys there is no such thing as offroad cover in UAE. Probably 2 years back but not anymore.
And currently all the major Rent a cars don’t have 4wheeler available for tomorrow!!.So I spoken to a few places in shj cant reserve it but if its available till tomm then its mine B-)
So fingers crossed.

The meeting point is at Jebel Ali. Would that come on the way if I go on Emirates rd. and join Sheikh Zayed Rd. towards abu dhabi or I’ve to come on sheikh zayed to join the group…
I’ve to stop at Arabian Ranches in the morning and was planning to continue on Emirates rd to join the road to abu dhabi.

Adeel bhai .. you need to go thru SZR to catch up the group.. if you take ER i dont thing so…. you can exit from arabian ranches towards mall of emirates n go the SZR… n pay 4 DHS salik.. 🙂
or else.. from arabian ranches go stright and take the first exit.. which will take you to SZR whr you can avoid your salik.. ;;)

I am sure you can meet the convoy on Shk Zayed road if you wait around at the point where Emirates Road joins onto Shk Zayed Road enroute to AUH coz ultimately isn’t that the route one has to take to go to Liwa ??? There is a petrol bunk around there if I’m not mistaken…

Zubairbhai, pls confirm so that Adeel need not drive back….I guess you are referring to the first ADNOC on your right after entering AD near Ghantoot

A very warm welcome to our mate Hugh after a longggggggggg vacation from our trips!
AND A VERY HOT!!! Welcome to Ajay jee(He actually has been in hiding from us)
As for using Emirates rd, one would have to take the exit from the huge round about after the arabian ranches one which would take you to Jebl Ali gate no. 1(old main gate) as if you carry on then you will join the main highway at Dubai -Abu Dhabi border.We are meeting at EMARAT Gas Station not Enoc or Adnoc.
It is always better to meet up at the meeting point then to catch up on the way,as for the convoy discipline and some sort of briefing as well.
As for Moreeb hill it all depends if we reach Hameem on time or slightly early we must then catch up with the UAE Desert challange troops.
