Dear Members
I am planning to go for Umrah by my own car. Can any one guide me where I will strike the UAE-Saudi Border if I am travelling via the following Route
Dubai-Ruwais-Dammam-Riyadh
I am planning an overnight stay at Ruwais in order to reach the border just after Fajar prayers to avoid long queues on the border. Are there any decent and cheap hotels available in Ruwais.
Riyadh will be my base camp according to my plan and then I will leave for Umrah to reach Makkah before 1st of Ramadan.
I will travel in a car borrowed from a friend and it is in his name. Do I need any NOC from the car owner or just a temporary export certificate from Automotive Touring Club is enough. Do I need any document from RTA. I am carrying a GPS device with me as this is my first trip and I am the only driver.
Any other tips are most welcome.
Best wishes,
