I had the same problem and I found that the pic size changed to be 150 x 150 Pix. What you need to do is to upload your picture again and make sure the size of the pic is maximum 150 X 150

Welcome back Jessil, Anil Bhai and crew!!!

Though I never got a chance to drive with you guys, had heard alot from DO seniors :-BD Look forward to drive with you all ๐Ÿ™‚

Certainly the new development is a very good news for all DOs. Now our team is double strong and we will be having the support and guidance of few most experienced professionals in this business :-BD I would prefer now to step down from all kind of drive responsibilities and will focus just to attend good drives to gain valuable knowledge from the seniors :-BD ๐Ÿ™‚

Purely on a personal note, I am quite sad on removal of stars ๐Ÿ™ I was disappointed to notice the profiles without ranking and stars. May be its because, I was very used to the Star Rating System and have been seeing it ever since I joined DO. For me the ranking and stars were an inspiration apart from being a honor and recognition to the good work and contributions. Thereby, used to feel proud of the same, some times ๐Ÿ˜‰ Due to whatsoever reasons known only to the decision makers, it seems the star and ranking system, is now an epoch. All my proud honor and recognition were ripped off in an overnight’s period =((

First of congratulations for this union. A salute the spirit of the union of what was one once. I wish all the best for both DO and MEO. Jack Jones had said whats in the name. It doesn’t matter what you are called. What matters is what you are. Deep inside we all love mother sand :ymhug:

This adventure sport is by choice and no one ever forced anyone to come and drive in the desert (Everyone has other options like shopping in the mall ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). We all are in the sand cos we love it. All this rating and grading and star and ranks was when the family was growing rapidly and was difficult to monitor the progress of new members who could move up to more challenging drives, keeping in mind the safety of everyone and interest of other experienced drivers.

The honor and recognition is not by the stars you wear but how you are. On a personal note Ahmed Pervez has been a mentor to many Offroaders since many years and has been known for reforms and revolutions for the benefit of the club. Never question your leader. If you dont agree voice it, and let the leader decide. I have learnt from him and still learning. He did a lot for the club, worked really hard to bring where it is now. It takes lot of dedication to do this. :ymhug: :thanks:

Disclaimer: This is not an advice or a suggestion or meant to offend anybody but just an opinion of my own. Implement if you like, ignore if you dont. What I said is general experience and is not pointing at anyone, unless if mentioned otherwise.

See you: Sons of Sand, brothers :drive:

Not seen the “blue toy” driving with DO recently ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

And came to know that “blue toy” is one among the founding members of a new club….how come that…difficult to digest…
looks strange and difficult to understand… ;;) ;;)

    Thanks dear for you explanation…..
(we come all weekend from AUH with family; not because there is no offroading club in Abu Dhabi ๐Ÿ˜‰ …it’s just because the people we interact here ๐Ÿ™‚ and the safe “just for Fun”)…

I like the way you express your views…Look forward meeting you soon dear. :thanks:

Imran, that is judgemental behavior and the very reason why we had to part ways. It makes me sad to see it from you as I never expected it from you. After reading your post, I am glad this happened because if you don’t like the company you are in, then its best to go away. Although, I must add, while holding the highest posts, one should not just create another club. While having the highest power, one does not have the right to just delete 10 percent of the posts of the forum. Ali did that and I could not get them back. I have created this website and this club from scratch and after nights and nights of coding and hardwork. You know that, you have been there all along. I honestly got tired of all the politics and all the ill feelings that were brought about by the very people I considered closest to me and now you come and advertise your club on the very website where you learnt to post and talk (I wouldn’t say bad, but its not something good also) against the very man who taught you not to put your fingers in between in steering wheel in the desert because that hinders with the swift movement. Ahmed Pervez has taught every founding member of that club, everything they know. Wouldn’t you agree, so instead of reasoning with him and being on his side all the time, you make a new club and advertise it trying to get the members from the club, which taught you everything you know. I am still in this club and will never leave because I remember the first day I drove in the desert and who taught me to drive. The members here know that the highest officials of DO/MEO will never send them warning emails. They will just take them out and bring them back home safely and that’s why they choose DO/MEO. Its not that hard. None of us are looking for politics and random advertisements. We are all looking for the reset button on the weekends which gets us ready to face another week at work. We do this because we enjoy doing this. Since, we are talking openly, we can also point out that Ali sent a warning email to certain marshals and for what, just to show he is the chief? Come on. And one email came back to him which was not very good and honestly, all measures were taken by me to rectify the problem. I went out of my way listening to Ali and now I am thinking it was not a good move from me because I took Ali’s side way too much and still failed to persuade him. My aim here is not to offend anyone and my apologies if I did but truth had to be told. No politics or advertising man, we are driving and posting here just for fun. This is not earning anyone any bucks, instead taking bucks. I don’t want to login and see politics. So everyone is free to do what they want. DO/MEO believe in safe adventure just for fun. And DO/MEO will keep on doing that. We will keep taking people out in the desert and bringing them safely back. Whenever anyone who has left, wants to come back, we will always welcome you back with open arms. Good luck ! We were brothers, we are brothers, we will be brothers, no matter what ๐Ÿ™‚

    One sentence Only…
Why do you think MEO came back?
Do youthink it is a coincidence that they came back immediately after the other group left?

The whole offroading community knows the drivng & other outdoor skills of Jessil & Anil Berry & others in the MEO group and we are really happy to have them back.

We are also very happy that certain sources of constant politics & bickering have left the group, please note that they left the group of their own accord & nobody was thrown out.

I never had any issues with any individual including Ali but I had to communicate a clear message to the other members & the community on the exact issues and I did it openly & unambiguously on the forum rather than calling individual members on phone & bad mouthing specific members.

You & Imran are both core members of the other group & we all know that, yet you still have full access to our forums, but I hope you understand that any post that openly canvasses for any other group will be summarily deleted from the forum.

It was planned. Politicians will never create a new party against the stronger one- its only revolutionist who take such a step. Politicians remain within the party and throw other strong members out.

    Think about it !!! @-)

Imran you know the facts…and I know the facts…so please do not distort the realities according to your perceptions…or requirements…. ๐Ÿ™‚

The merger of DO & MEO is indeed a landmark decision & detractors are bound to be distressed…

I was expecting this reaction from you guys…just wondering why it took you so long to react ๐Ÿ˜•
