Point is behind the pink rock.Drive probably start at 4
Or after 4 pm.I ll reach behind the pink rock (deflating point)
At 4 pm. If it doesn’t workable, I may come to meeting point at 3.30quote j3r3miah:quote Chris:quote Tushar:Nice!! Was the sealent bought frm ACE ?Yes I got it at ACE for 10AED. cheapest. repair. ever :yesss:
Cheapest would be to drop an egg into your radiator. the pressure and water inside wouldn’t let it solidify, but when it leaks out, it would solidify at the spot of the leak and seal the leak.
there’s a mythbuster episode on this.
sounds plausible… I’ll add some eggs to my equipment then 🙂
3.30 pm meeting point Tawi Nazwa shops, as ashok & krishan could not join the drive Ali(Chief) decided to take Andy & amjed (me) from convey 2 to his convey and made us as sweep, i was delighted to hear this and also thanks Ali for offering this opportunity to be as sweep.
4pm after deflation & briefing by Ali , the convey started from the farm side to Pink Rock, the track & dunes were tricky and excellent lead by Ali, only with couple of stuck and our first time as sweep & rescue the stucks were dealt with no issue & fast, the convey reach Pink Rock and all of the driver in the convoy (first timers) did drive very well as per our Chief’s comments and we reached back to the inflation point before our scheduled time.
I was very happy that DO offered this opportunity to me and I hope was upto the expectations of our seniors.
Look forward to see lots of comments & more reports from our fellow drivers about today’s driveThanks to Andy for being with me!
RegardsSeptember 8, 2012 at 6:00 am #18790Great drive yesterday – my thanks go to Ali for giving me my first opportunity to sweep, it was good to be able to practice recovery techniques and an enjoyable experience.
Happy to work with you Amjed.
September 8, 2012 at 6:36 am #18791Excellent drive. I must thank Ben for being my sweep. Constant radio feedback allowing everyone to enjoy the drive. Firoz being second, I must give you kudos. Very well done!! Great driving!
Chris, duke, aemi , mehul driving very well.
Humayun doing very well , he is always very good .Thanks for the support with Ben!Look forward to driving with you guys again!
little late but :thanks: Gerry for the nice drive. The side sloping was fun!
Thanks to Humayun and Ben for talking me through the bowl I got in close to pinkrock (the one with all the rubbish at the bottom).
My flag fell off and I decided to stop there and pickup the flag. Of course I should have kept going till the next top now the only thing I could do was going down in the bowl. Lesson learned 🙂 -
