Pathy fixed, free of charge!! Wanted to thank everyone for helping out esp. Tushar, Imran and the guys in the F-150. It’s generally fun rescuing someone but waiting around doing nothing on the first day of a long weekend sucks. Will be back next weekend for more!!
October 26, 2012 at 8:09 am #19859quote samir_thaha:Thanks a lot Gerry for the wonderful drive !!! :thanks: :thanks: One of the best drives, I would say. The best part of it was we were about to end the drive towards the road wherin suddenly a voice on radio(None other than Ganesh) , Can we hit the dunes once more before we exit. I think all the vehicles in the convoy equally voted for it & we were ON for the next one which was more amazing. The cars in the convoy could feel Gerry increasing the driving level slowly with excellent slide slopes. Thanks a lot, also it was interesting to be the second car behind the Marshal(Gerry).
@Ganesh: I will sure remember the safe distance ๐ !!! Thanks a lot for your tips :thanks: Also it was good when you were leading the convoy eventhough for a short while in between. :drive:
@Saif: I got the opportunity to have you with me to get some interesting driving tips as Tushar was with Pratheek. Lucky me. Thanks a lot for your driving tips :thanks:
@Andy : Thanks for your sweep & a big “HI” to the cute little girls ๐Sorry for Tushar & Jayesh who had to leave in between to help the Pathfinder(Minaj) which broke it’s suspension. You guys sacrified your day & thats the DO famous for helping the team …..See you all on another week. Hopefully next week. I will post the photos taken
Its learning each & every day :yesss: !!! See you all next week. :drive: :drive: :drive:
It was fun to ramp up the drive seeing everyone tackling the challenges very well. Samir, you did very well being the second car after me. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
I was very happy to see a very good follow through by everyone in the convoy :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: , and look forward to some other interesting drives this season!
Minaz, tough luck on your first drive, but you have the right spirit in offroading. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: It should make you quite good at it, once you get to know your car better. Thats part of the experience of sand driving, you have to learn how to drive in the sand, but also learn and understand your car. Combined , both of these make you a good offroader!
My thanks to Ganesh, who led extremely well for the limited time and for the support in the middle of the convoy. Well done Ganesh!! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
Thanks also to Andy and Saif . Andy as always amazing at sweep. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
Great job – leads and sweeps !!! Gerry, Jayesh, Andy :ymapplause: :ymapplause: also the interim lead by Ganesh :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
quote charaniaimran:Tushar was kind enough to make sure the recovery guy was arranged and the tow truck was arranged before we dropped him home. Truly, the DO motto of no man left behind is something that gives us newbies great comfort and confidence to keep coming every week. Hats off to all of you pros who have to put up with us newbies. Thanks again for all the guidance and training…Hats off to you Ronin for the awesome recovery efforts!!! ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ Once again proved, why this samurai at DO is so reliable to keep up the club’s motto :-BD :-BD :-BD (Now Ronin, when is the party for this ISO Certification ;)???)
On a personal note, missed this week’s action in sand ๐ look forward for next weekend :-w
