Great idea Ahmed Bhai :-BD I fully agree to this good concept.
Definitely it will help to select the right convoy depending on the required skill for the drive. It will also enhance the drive standards in terms of fun and safety.
I would like to suggest the below points for implementing this concept.
1.Like the existing stripe system, along with the avatar / profile, individual driver rating also shall be displayed.
2.The marshals shall provide individual rating to all current active members based on their previous drives till date. This rating of each member shall be regularly evaluated in future, at the end of each drive they participate. The marshals shall be free to rate the driver based on criteria which they feel important for the drives (eg:- driving skill, experience, vehicle, discipline, compliance to the rules, relation with colleagues).
3. While posting each drive, rating requirement to qualify shall be specified strictly. (just an eg:- all rating (newbie drives) rating 2 and above (fewbie drives) rating 3 and above (intermediate ++ drives) rating 4 and above (advanced drives)
Since the rating is based on 3 marshal’s recommendation, I don’t think there is a need for re-appraisal. There is no doubt that our marshals are highly skilled, not all the 3 can commit the same mistake. However I understand, reappraisal chance is a part of democratic way of implementation. But the worst fear is that it may lead to unhealthy discussions and straining of relations.
