Hi guys, I’ve registered too. I’ve done 3 drives before, the last one being the amazing trip to Liwa. I hope it’s ok…

Big, big THANKS from the Abu Dhabi multinational crew. Amazing trip and a lot owed to marshal Ahmed and very friendly and helpful advanced members, guiding us through the all the stuck-situations! Very cheerful camping company too.

Hello, I need some advice on additional fuel. Assuming I top up my car (Jeep Wrangler TJ 2002) before entering the desert route, will a full tank be enough until the morning?

    My own edit:

    quote Ahmad Pervez:

The tank range of a FJ is sufficient for this drive, At least 2 additional Jerry Cans, each of 20 litres, will be required by Jeep Wrangler Drivers

I can get 2 Jerry Cans but I don’t have racks to mount it on. If I don’t manage to get the rack by the trip, may I ask around if anyone has some spare space in their racks and is willing to take one? (probably asking for too much…)

    quote Ahmad Pervez:

All those joining us from Abu Dhabi should assemble and wait at the Mafraq Adnoc with their Radio (Walkie Talkie) on at Channel 4 at 09:30am, they can join the convoy directly. we will update them as we will approach the Adnoc and they can join us directly from there.

    Great! We are in..!

Hi this is Artur & Paulina, that joined this great club for a ride last weekend. We completed our equipment inventory and got the walkie-talkie.
We would love to join the trip to Liwa and have 2 questions:
    – can we bring 2 passengers with us in our car (Jeep Wrangler)?
    – since we are coming from Abu Dhabi, would the entry point be better for us?
    Many thanks!

Just wanted to re-confirm that DUBISHENGPA sells good Motorola WT for 250 AED and sets the channels for you. The shop has a different name I think though their name card states DUBISHENGPA.
Anyway, there is also another Motorola for 200 AED sold in other shops but I would avoid this one as it looks a bit fake-ish and appears to be difficult to use/set up channels. I can’t remember the model names but there is also a clear difference in packaging, labels and user manual quality that can help to tell which is which.

Hello, I’ve just joined your club – many thanks! I drive Jeep Wrangler TJ and I only have been to Oman so far, so not much experience. I’ve registered for the trip tomorrow (1st part) and will join you with my wife Paulina. I have all the necessary off-road gear, except walkie-talkie (I’ll see if I can get it today). I hope this is ok..?
