Whether you go for a Patrol or Landcruiser you will end up having to upgrade the usual suspension, skid plate etc as a minimum. I have the Patrol V8 & it performs well in the dunes albeit I have spent a fortune on modifications (suspension, wheels, tyres, exhaust, skid plates, air intake, etc, etc). If going for a landcruiser I have read the 4.7 V8 is the best option to go with again albeit with suspension modifications. Good luck in choosing your next vehicle!

More power is never a bad thing even with a V8! & yes I would highly recommend the Pedal Box for increased throttle response very useful for climbing the big dunes & bowls.
