This post should be quoted on every topic where we have a BBQ event, as I recently posted on the March 8th event,

CARRY OUT WHAT YOU CARRY IN, IMAGINE HAVING A BBQ IN A FRIENDS GARDEN, AND WALKING AWAY LEAVING YOUR CRAP BEHIND.

This desert we have is there for all, it doesn’t matter what others do lead by example

    :thanks:

I would like to thank to all participants on this another successful trip in history of Dubai Offroaders. I was delighted to have supportive and enthusiastic team players in the convoy. Everybody did his great job in evaluating the terrain, climbing, cresting and not leaving other members in behind. The team spirit is right in the place. LIWA desert showed us again, that it needed to be treated in the high respect, to not underestimate any single sign of potential danger.
I hope you’ll allow me to join you on another such respectful trips.

    Gentlemen,

based on my discussion with Ahmed, I’m placing here the last notes:

Radio Channel will be No. 3 (462.6125MHz)

All those drivers, who are not able to come to departing point on time, are driving on their own. They should reach tarmac point next to the Arada Camping Site with the full tank. In the case there is no mobile operator signal, they must use the radio, to get exact position of the camp, eventually, somebody of the camp can meet them at tarmac, not to risk and drive in the night alone.

    Flag pole is a must.

Pls kindly reply to this and confirm that you understand and comply. It is for your safety.

    Gentlemen,

it looks that the trip is well prepared and it will be a great success for sure. I’m very much looking forward to it.
However I would like to add some additional mandatory equipment for all participants, which is mainly serving to the safety of the trip:

    • Radio (Walkie/Talkie – UHF standard band. Mainly it is needed to communicate with the members of convoy about proper passing difficult areas, to avoid getting unnecessary stuck or accidents
    • Flag Pole – due to the nature of the dunes in Liwa, you need to see the car’s movement in front of you. It is not an attractive decoration to your car, but the important safety tool and precaution, to avoid landing the cars into each other

You are most welcome to join us…you know I always enjoy driving with fast, technical drivers & I definitely enjoyed your company on both the Liwa drives last season !!!
I am working on making this drive a bit more challenging this year…with counter slipface climbs & some nice steep drops…avoiding the construction areas we encountered last time when we were there.
    It should be good !!!

A very nice turn out more then 20 cars …the convoy was split into 2 groups , 8 experience drivers was lead by mr. Ahmed & the rest new bees were lead by salim khan …… The new bee drive was very well lead by salim khan with a few sticks but I hope all new bees learnt a new thing or too … All in all well done to all drivers and it’s good to see the club growing ……..

I am sure your old school’s english teacher must still be having nightmares thinking about you…I am sure you meant “stucks” because I did not see Salim using sticks or any other devices of penal punishment on the drive yesterday.
    =)) =)) =))

Hehe, it’s a long time I was here, but this is the subject I like… Maybe Desert Knight meant that Salim was sticking the sticks into the wheels of some Newbies and you didn’t see it ๐Ÿ™‚

I visited this website now and registered. It is absolutely chaotic and no information giving website, where 60% of the square is covered with advertisement. Don’t waste your time to register.
