I am finally committed to rejoining you guys in the sand. Have removed the front air dam from my Jeep, so hopefully I won’t end up with too much damage to the car… :drive:
Just need to clarify that I will be joining the Newbee convoy, since this is my first time in the sand with this car. :thanks:

That’s an impressive lineup. Must be a record for the number of registered cars! Unfortunately I will have to bring down that number by one :(( Jeep are keeping my car over the weekend to replace all four tires. The car has had an unreasonable number of “childhood diseases”, but I hope they will sort it out this time ๐ Until the next time…
I’d like to join this drive, but only if we are sure that there will be a Newbie convoy. Need to ease in my new ride. Not sure what it can do in the sand (and this will be its maiden drive). :drive: :thanks:
I might just join you in my new ride next Friday! :drive:
You can apparently take off the lower part of the front fender, and with a 360bhp V8 engine, it can’t be that bad?
You should try to go to AdventureHQ at e.g. Times Square Mall on SZR. I have seen they have these “roof straps” for the Wrangler hardtop. You can then drive around with a smaller kayak on the roof, if this is what you want to do?
Weather forecast does not look promising…

With my ford f150 I have the traction control and the advance stability control.
If I just press the button once it switches off the traction but if I hold the button for about 7 seconds it turns both off.
Try this in ur tahoe if it works. ๐
It works the same way in my Jeep.
I am driving with it all switched off on my Jeep. If you leave any of it on, your car’s stability/traction control system will keep trying to compensate for the lack of traction. These systems are only meant for when you are on road (except perhaps for the more advanced systems found on Land Rovers or similar 4×4’s).
Would have joined you, but my car is due for the 20,000 km service that day, so it might not be ready in the evening. ๐ฎ #-o :-w
Sorry guys, can’t spend the whole weekend in the sand (though I would have wanted to). Definitely going the next time.
Any suggestion on where to get the firewood (apart from scavenging)? Can you buy these bundles from shops somewhere??
I haven’t been on one of these trips with you guys before. You mention in the above that we should bring our own bbq equipment, but do we not build a communal fire/barbecue pit?
I’m in for the barbeque/camp after the drive. I’ll bring one guest.
