Cannot add anything to the brilliant report of Brian.
My family and myself enjoyed the trip thru Wahiba, we are glad we were part of this marvellous group and I hope I could spend more time sometimes.
Camping is always a nice experience and the talks around the campfire are always inspiring.
I am not a great writer and will stop here. Please note that always on pictures bold heads have to be aligned at the extreme L and R. Otherwise the luminous flux would be too bright.
:thanks:
Prepping my car with awning and hopefully RTT – Am leaving however the 16th only from Khor Fakkan as I take the whole family diving, must meet up with you all somewhere in Oman – probably Biddiyah ? Hope to be out this weekend but currently struggling with viral infection & fever.
Looking forward to the trip !
Thx a lot – With 2.2 diesel engine, 122 bhp, a long wheel base and manual shifting it’s definitely a good work-out !
I lack power sometimes but hope to compensate with determination.
I was amazed how smooth the whole group went and it was fun to end it as a night drive.
In the morning with the bike ( KTM 505 ) and in the afternoon with the truck – The Dessert stays a brilliant environment !!
Thx Kumar – The mother of all 4×4’s did an excellent job, though I still have to get used to
1) driving manual again
2) engine character of the 2.2 diesel
But it was good fun and I was amazed how little stucks we had though the terrain was quite challenging
Definitely a well led & organized drive !
So we get upgraded ?
