    I will also join if there’s a drive Friday afternoon . Hopeful an intermediate one too. We will come late from Thursday night shisha and it will be difficult to go on the next day morning.

    I personally had the worst of experience with my previous 2004 discovery. Very expensive parts , leaks every where , burst water pipes and on top of that very low power for the a v8 engine. I couldn’t even make it to the dessert with this vehicle. I agree that it’s not suitable for the environment. unless ur willing to spend a fortune on maintenance . I think best is Japaense cars

    I guess I should have posted in technical articles section instead 🙂 . My understanding of BFGS as Joe and Denis mentioned are not the best tyres for sand as they do tend to dig specially in soft sand in addition to traction and power lost. I checked the Nito . They look great but unfortunately will not fit my rims. Probably I ll look at cooper AT3 or Yokohama AT.
    I might get in touch with you Joe , hope you don’t mind if I needed more details .
    Not sure about this Friday as I might do the Saturday trip with Duncan for some more challenge 🙂 Thx alot everyone and cu all soon.

    But Sajid I dont understand why you think BFGs are not good in sand ? Else I ll go for Yokohama or Michelin.

    It was an exciting and relaxing speed drive at the same time with the fewbee convoy. Wished it lasted a little bit longer as the weather was amazing. Nice lead Mathew and support Ashraf. Looking forward to the morning drive. Maybe we ll have a bbq ghazal for breakfast 🙂 . Cu all soon.
