This was a great technical drive, that I found challenging, and adventurous. There was a good variety of skill building tracks that we got to run on. This was a great drive to leave on, as due to work I probably won’t get to go out in the sand for close to a month! At least it was on a high note ๐Ÿ™‚

Nothing to add to the reports, but this was a great trip, and I hope all the vehicle problems get sorted out ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is great news, and I look forward to more of Ricardo’s trips!

In most of the USA it is law that you have tire monitors, even with aftermarket tires after a certain model year. It isn’t law here yet, but the day may come…

You are soooo humble Iqsaan :p =))

Yours truly will include my “perfect” B-) stuck and the “crest ” dancing ๐Ÿ˜€ Both my errors too eroded valuable fun time #:-s Sorry folks.

Once again, no need to be sorry! I was thinking I was pretty hot stuff, but I had some work done to my Jeep, and on the Intermediate drive yesterday I was a little shakey on some climbs and crests. It is all a learning experience. Just take what you learn from failures, and apply it, and you will get another star!

Congratulations all of you freshly minted purples:-) Just remember you don’t need to prove anything to anybody. Everyone gets stuck, even very experienced drivers in seemingly mundane situations! Try to keep your cool after you have had a less than perfect climb or crest. If you let yourself get worked up, and upset it almost guarantees that you will be stuck again, or worse.

It was great to see so many made the climb to the top of the bowl today! It was trickier than normal due to how chewed up the sand was.

Now on a DEADLY SERIOUS note… MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR RECOVERY GEAR IS RATED!!! While watching some of the recoveries it doesn’t look very abrupt or violent. With 2 vehicles weighing several tons a piece, a small innocent pull is deadly violet. If a failed shackle hits someone, it will at the very least remove a limb, and in the right spot, cost the ultimate price. Ensure all of your gear is fit for purpose, and if you have ANY doubt please ask one of the marshals at the next drive.

To finish, I’d like to thank everyone for a pleasant drive today.

Well thank you guys for the bump up:-) The biggest reason for this is the advice of the more senior members, and marshals on some tweaks to my driving in the sand. I look forward to building on my skills!

There isn’t much for me to add here, as the reports have all been well written.

I would just like to thank the club, the task force, and all of the members for the enjoyable trips so far.

    (Just don’t call the ghosts…)

    Kumar,

No need for thanks, as some day I may be in a similar predicament! , but it is appreciated. I really enjoyed the first drives I had with DO, and loved the comradery that was shown at the BBQ after the drives ๐Ÿ™‚ Thus far I would like to commend the marshals in picking suitable routes for the people in their convoy. It is nearly an unimaginable task, and you all do it off the cuff!

I would like to thank you all for feeling welcomed into the DO family.

Lots of cars yesterday, it took 3 pictures to get them all! I had a good time, and it was nice to meet everyone.
