Hey Sami, it’s been a while!
Glad to know you’re joining us on Friday. It does usually take up to 24hrs for the membership activation. You’ll be able to register for the drive soon.
Regarding EID, you would have to upload it in your profile.
Let me know if you run into any difficulties.. See you soon buddy!
Thanks for the tip just found it under “edit profile” and will upload all the details soon.
Really hope I can make it this Friday been way too long since I’ve been on the sands.
Hi Sahil its been a long time man. Hoping to join the drive this weekend.
I followed the link at the top of the page to confirm membership and already payed the fee through paypal yesterday but havent gotten found any link for emirates ID upload yet. Will a link come through email or is it somewhere on the website?
Thanks to all in the int/adv group it was great drive as usual. Simon it was a pleasure to meet you and drive with you, definitely looking forward to the next time. Francis and Sebastian took the lead at different stages of the drive and both performed very well. Well done to both and thanks for a great drive.
Thanks to everyone in the int/adv convoy for a great drive. Was an overall smooth drive a couple stops here in there for various reasons but never for too long. The sands are getting dryer and softer by the week making drives all the more fun and challenging. There were definitely a lot more second attempts than the previous few weeks but only a single stuck. Dennis was lead for the first part of the trip then Jatin and Sahil took turns leading the group as well and I must say that they all did a great job making a track that was fast fun and at the same time safe.
Also at the end of the drive there was a strange metal on metal clanging sound coming from my car when I drive it slow. I thought it maybe I had damaged part of the driveline and was a little worried. I then realized that the sound was coming from the weights that they stick on to the inside of the rim when doing wheel balancing. Some of the older ones I have on got partially detached and were flopping around and hitting the rim. Just posting it in case anyone else ever experiences some thing similar I imagine it can happen to anyone.

Im in if you’ll have me 🙂 . Since its an all day drive I’m guessing ill need around two 20l jerrycans. Would they be enough? or will there be chance to refuel at a station at some point in the middle of the day?
Another great day with the int/adv convoy. Thanks to Martin for a fast exciting lead. All drivers did a great job keeping with the pace but staying safe at the same time. We lost the drone at one point early in the drive luckily didn’t take too long to locate and recover it. Also there was a minor suspension repair that needed to be carried out and it was really good to see first hand how much all members were wanting to help and also that the resources and skills needed for such a repair were available. The repair didn’t take much time and we were back to driving the beautiful dunes of Al Faqaa. Looking forward to the next one.
It was a great drive in the Advanced convoy with no major incidents. Thanks to @chughtai for a great lead that made the most of all the dunes that crossed our path. Pace was fast and smooth even with the occasional second attempt every now and then. We only ever stopped to have a break. Thanks to all for a great drive and hope to see you next week.
