There is a guy on Dubizzle selling a PRG lift kit, link below, I read a few good reviews about it since it consists of spacers for the fron and AAL for the back. Anyone knows anything about PRGs? Any recommendations? and what tires are the best with this kit?
hey i guys i have a nissan xterra 2008 S , i got a 2.5″ lift without changing the orginal shocks and coils i just put a aluminum space specially made for the car and a extra leaf for the rear it gave my car and over all lift of 3″ i have been driving it in the desert for 4 months now and no problems of any sort . It all costed me 200dhs for the spacers and the fixing including the rear leaf all about 1000dhs . then i bought 18″ rims with nitto terra galpers 285/60 R18 . which in all costed me 4000 , please remember one thing when ever u get a up lift please get the alinement checked or ur tyres with wear out real fast and its dangerous . hope i could help……………………. :thanks:
Hello Ali,
I noticed you posted this around 3 years ago, how long did you have the xterra after lifting it? Did the lift kit effect it in a ny way?
I have the 2010 Xterra Offroad, will the same thing work on that too? What tires do you recommend for desert offroading? We went to Sweihan last weekend and I ended up losing my bumper and 2 mud flaps, that’s why I am really considering a lift.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

Hello Ali,
Can the same thing be done with a Xterra 2010 Offroad? Does it effect the on-road driving? How much bigger tires can I go with without having to change the rims, both height and width?
Zaid, Initially don’t do any modification. First thing, you start driving in the desert. Once you get in progress on your desert driving skills, naturally you will come to know what are the modification you want to do or not. After all it’s your skill, not your modified machine…. :drive:
Thanks for the response. I’ve been offroading for around 15 years and I never modified any of my cars, this time I feel like some change, the xterra is performing well, but the long wheel bases getting to me, I think it needs a tiny lift and bigger tires, what do you think?
Thank you all for the response. I am talking about the Pro Comp Leveling Kit not the tires, I got in touch with OffroadZone and they told me it costs around AED2,500, but I’ve been looking everywhere online and couldn’t find any reviews, I don’t wanna start modifying my car without being 100% sure it will not ruin it for me.
What are the best tires I can install on my Xterra (both with or without lifting it)?
