Points of interest
Start from Dubai, drive to Wadi Ash Shab, with a couple of stopovers, for lunch and sightseeing.

Hawiyyat Najm (Arabic: هوية نجم), known as Bimmah Sinkhole in English, is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.
Wadi Ash Shab is one of the top highlights of Oman. The narrow canyon is home to crystal clear blue water pools and also a secret waterfall inside a cave.
WE WILL STAY HERE FOR A NIGHT, ON WEDNESDAY, IN ONE OF THE NUMEROUS AVAILABLE ACCOMODATION OPTIONS.
Freshwater cascading from mountain top meets the briny sea water on its banks, creating an environmental diversity, making it stand on a pedestal of its own when compared with the other wadis in the Sultanate.
The Salmah Plateau, and surrounding mountains, is home to no less than seven underground cave entrances, three of which portal spelunkers down into the world renowned Majlis al Jinn (Meeting Place of the Spirits), one of the largest cave chambers in the world. Access is only available via a 118-158 meter rappel into thin air, depending on which entrance used. The cave chamber measures about 310 by 225 meters with a 120 meter tall domed ceiling that is only 40 meters thick and contains the three entrances.
Jaylah Beehive Tombs, the 90 or so meticulously crafted stone towers scattered across the Selma Plateau are tombs dating back to the Umm An Nar culture of 2000 to 2700 BC. Standing about 3m tall and conical in shape, they command a dramatic position on the edge of the plateau and provoke plenty of unanswered questions. Local belief has it they were built by the spirit Kebir Keb – as good a way as any of describing the collective consciousness of the ancients.
Jebel Shams is the highest mountain in Oman at 3009 meters, with morning trek on the famous balcony, to an old village nestling under the mountains.
WE WILL STAY HERE FOR TWO NIGHTS, ON THURSDAY & FRIDAY, IN ONE OF THE NUMEROUS AVAILABLE ACCOMODATION OPTIONS. 
WE WILL BE EXPLORING THE NEARBY MOUNTAINS WITH MORNING TREKS AND SOME OFF ROAD TRIPS.
We will head back to Dubai, on Saturday, via Snake Canyon, Bald Sayt and Rustaq.

TRIP CHARGES:
THIS IS A MEMBER-ONLY EVENT AND IS RESTRICTED TO DUBAI OFFROADERS MEMBERS ONLY.
THIS EVENT IS FREE OF ANY CHARGE FOR ALL DUBAI OFFROADERS MEMBERS.

Meeting Time: 9:00 AM 0900Hrs. on Wednesday, the 27th of May ‘2026.
The drive ends at 6:00 PM 1800Hrs. Saturday, the 30th of May ‘2026.

1. MAXIMUM 10 REGISTRATIONS.
2. MINIMUM OF 6 REGISTRATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE TRIP TO PROCEED.
3. Meeting Point: Will be shared through a dedicated whatsapp group, once the registrations close on Sunday, the 24th of May.
4. Please be punctual to avoid making many others wait for you, as well as to maximize our time on the adventure.

IMPORTANT:
a. The Driver of the vehicle must have a Valid UAE/ OMAN Driving License and the vehicle, Driver, and passengers must be covered by an appropriate insurance cover.
b. The Driver and all passengers of the vehicle should have read and be aware of the disclaimer of Dubai Offroaders, that they indemnify all the officials and Marshals of Dubai Offroaders and that they themselves bear full responsibility for any risk of property damage, bodily injury or death while participating in this Adventure sport.
c. This drive is not recommended for children under the age of 3 years.
d. Any child on the drive must be secured in an age-appropriate car seat or booster seat.
e. Seat belts must always be worn by the Driver and all/ any passengers.
f. All vehicles must follow the track taken by the leader and no car ventures on its own.
g. Off road recoveries, repairs, evacuations, etc. are to be supervised by the leader, and the Marshals Team.
h. No one can decide to stop or move the convoy without the confirmation of the convoy leader.
i. The trip leader has all the rights to decide what is the best for the trip management in terms of safety, navigation, time management, picking camp spot, etc. and the trip members must cooperate and comply with the leaders decision.
j. The trip members must respect, help, support each other and follow and honour the general rules of the country.

Checklist:

1. Fully functional four-by-four vehicle with a full tank of fuel.
2. Oman Visa, ideally taken before the date, of travel.
3. The cost of the Visa will vary depending on the applicant’s Nationality.
4. Camping gear, mattress/ sleeping bag etc.
5. Cooking & BBQ equipment
6. Change of clothes, and swimwear.
7. Basic first aid kit and medications, as required.
8. Closed-toe footwear, waterproof material is preferable for Wadi hikes.
9. Refreshments for yourself and your passengers.
10. Fire Extinguishers, 2 Nos. Powder type, at least 5 Kgs. each, plus a fire blanket.

INCLUSIONS
Route plan, guidance & on-site support, throughout the drive.
EXCLUSIONS
UAE border exit fees and Omani visa fees.
Boarding for 3 nights, in 3 star or equivalent Hotel, depending upon availability.
The more adventurers could opt for camping for 1-2 nights, at Jebel Shams, depending upon their adventure quotient.
