7 ThanseerMarch 16, 2012 at 5:24 pm #16160Thanks guys, that was a blast. First time on an “intermediate” drive and it really tested me! Hopefully I have learnt something…
See you next time! After a long gap, I think we had today a reasonably good intermediate drive and came to know the newbie drive was also great.
Though for more than half of the drive I was on passenger seat with Chief Marshal – Offroad Rescue Unit, I really enjoyed the drive. Indeed it was a great fun filled drive, especially to observe somebody tailgating someone ;).
Thank you guys, see you all again next week. :thanks: :drive:
Uploading one picture of our speed test (zoom the speedometer) while on the way to deflation point – Absolutely not recommended for anybody to try ๐ฎ [-X [-X [-X
It was indeed a wonderful drive….I think we had most of all our marshals today….nice to meet Mr. Ahmed Parvez too….Thanks to Ali and Sam for letting myself and Gerry for the opportunity to help the new bees…..The best part happening in our recent drives is that we are able to break the entire convoy into two groups of fews bees and intermediate….so that every driver experiences his own talent and our marshals are the best people to rank them…..We started the drive at 4 pm at the deflation point (KHATAM)…..Salim Khan led the intermediate group with Ahmed Parvez, whereas Ali and Sam led the new-few bees. We started off with some regular tracks and dunes, and as Ali likes to say..”Till now it was easy, now I will make ur life a bit tough ๐ “….and we hit some tricky dunes and dips…..Both the groups met together at 2 points, and then led their respective routes….We had some stuck-ups, but wasn’t anything serious…..Our new bee Mr.Firoz (FJ Cruiser) faced some issues, but im sure after this drive he must be pretty confident about his vehicle….”PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT” ๐ ….we touched the road at 6pm….then some of the guys we followed Ali and Sam to the fall…spent some time there and then returned back…. :thanks: a ton to all for the fantastic evening….see u all again for the next drive…. :drive:
I have posted some pictures on our facebook page….pls have a look…..

March 19, 2012 at 9:01 am #16197I thank u guys from my heart to increase my confidence and ability to drive a small 4×4 in a big desert…
I really want to enjoy the golden moments of my passion of driving, not only on road by simply tailgating but in sands too & u guys especially ALI was giving a good training of tackling dunes with speed & control.
I look forward for great moments again & again. -
